Abstract
We optimized the Securities Training Corporation's admin dashboards during a dual-pronged admin & student-side project. After a UX discovery phase, we worked with Senior Vice President John Marucco and other stakeholders to define goals for the project, including surpassing key competitors to win business from top investment banking clients. For a UX KPI, we aimed to improve the dashboard to a SUS of 68, which is the industry standard for passing UX. After that, we started the design phase which included prototyping, user flows, and user interviews.

Project Summary
As a leading design agency, we had the privilege of partnering with Securities Training Corporation (STC), the largest and oldest securities trading accreditation company on Wall Street, to enhance their admin and students dashboards. Our collaboration aimed to streamline user workflows, improve usability, and surpass competitors to win business from top investment banking clients. Under the guidance of Senior Vice President John Marucco and other stakeholders, we embarked on a journey to redefine STC's user experience.
After conducting a thorough UX discovery phase, our primary objective was to surpass industry standards and achieve a System Usability Scale (SUS) score of at least 68, signaling a satisfactory user experience. We aimed to position STC's dashboards as the premier choice among students. With these objectives in mind, we incorporated prototyping, user flows, and user interviews to inform our decisions.
During the design phase, we leveraged insights gathered from user research to craft intuitive and visually appealing admin dashboards. Our designs focused on simplifying complex workflows, enhancing data visualization, and improving overall usability. Through iterative prototyping and user testing, we refined our designs to ensure alignment with user needs and expectations.
The overwhelmingly positive feedback reinforced our confidence in the effectiveness of our designs. Subsequently, we collaborated closely with the development team to implement the designs, ensuring a seamless transition from concept to reality.
The impact of our redesign efforts was immediately evident, as reflected in the remarkable increase in SUS score from below 60 to an outstanding 98 out of 100. This achievement not only surpassed our initial goal but also positioned STC's admin dashboards as best-in-class within the industry.
